Nicholas Hall joined 2 Hare Court in September 2016 as a first six pupil. During his first month of pupillage, he received The Kalisher Trust Award 2016 for his essay on criminal law and procedure.

Before commencing his pupillage at 2 Hare Court, Nicholas completed the BPTC at City Law School, London while teaching law at a University and Post-Graduate level. He also acted as a Duty Advice Officer in Willesden County Court and represented Tenants in Possession Hearings.

As a 2012 Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation Scholar, he spent 19 months in Tokyo, Japan, working as a para-legal in Hogan Lovells Law Firm and as a Legal Assistance Team Member at the Japanese Association of Refugees. He also undertook intensive Japanese language studies.

In 2010, he completed a Masters in Law and Social Sciences at the Universidad Central de Las Villas, Cuba, in Spanish and on an EU scholarship. Before this he completed an MPhil in Criminology and a BA in Law at Jesus College, Cambridge University.
