2 Hare Court | London Barristers Chambers - One of the UK's leading sets

2 Hare Court has a long-established reputation for prosecuting the gravest and most complex criminal cases in England and Wales and beyond, from pre-charge advice to appeal. Members are instructed to advise all of the domestic prosecution agencies including the CPS, SFO, FCA, CMA and EA as well as prosecution services in the Caribbean, Channel Islands and elsewhere.

Members include three former First Senior Treasury Counsel, as well as numerous current and former Treasury Counsel. Chambers has unrivalled experience in prosecuting serious crime and the result is an unparalleled level of expertise in cases requiring an in-depth understanding of prosecution and investigative processes together with specialist attributes such as high-level security clearance.

Examples of cases prosecuted by Chambers include the murder by Royal Marine Commandos of an Afghan insurgent on the battlefield, the murder of Zara Aleena, Operation Venetic (EncroChat), the killing of PC Andrew Harper, the News International phone hacking trials, the prosecutions of Chris Huhne MP and Vicky Pryce, Ali Dizaei, Jeffery Archer and Jonathan Aitken, the Jill Dando murder, Delroy Grant (the Night Stalker) and terrorist cases including the Stock Exchange bomb plot, the IRA’s bombing of the Grand Hotel in Brighton and of Canary Wharf, the Dirty Bomb plot, the Al Qa’eda Heathrow plot and the Finsbury Park mosque attack.
