Mark Graffius QC and Grace Forbes instructed in EncroChat Conspiracy to Murder

Mark Graffius QC and Grace Forbes are defending a 23 year old man charged with conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.  The defendant and his cousin were shot in Salford. It was alleged that the defendant conspired with four others to murder the man who had shot him in a revenge attack. The defendants were also accused of plotting to kill the man’s girlfriend and her father. The alleged conspiracy was brought to light after French authorities infiltrated the encrypted EncroChat network, uncovering extensive messages between the defendants and leading to the discovery by the National Crime Agency of a range of “fearsome assault weapons” including AK-47 assault rifles with Uzi and Scorpion submachine guns, semi-automatic pistols, revolvers, suppressors and grenades also being available to the defendants.

Mark Graffius QC and Grace Forbes are instructed by Jonathan McIlveen of Cobleys Solicitors.
