Rebecca Erkan-Bax, instructed by Sophie Bell of ABV Solicitors represented A at his trial for the rape of L.

A and L met via an on-line dating website. On their first date, they met at A’s flat and L alleged that A had violently raped her. A also faced an alternative count of attempted rape. The jury were directed to return a not guilty verdict to the alternative count after half time submissions were made. The case involved challenging expert medical evidence and bad character evidence.
