Michael Rawlinson has successfully defended a South Yorkshire PC at a disciplinary hearing. The officer faced allegations of gross misconduct.

The officer faced dismissal, having been accused of using excessive force against a female who was holding a young child at the time of her arrest.

Following a three-day contested hearing, the allegations were dismissed by the panel in their entirety.

Michael is a member of the Professional Discipline Team, and regularly acts for police officers of all ranks across the country in misconduct, criminal and inquest proceedings.

Michael was instructed in this case by Tom Nutter of Radcliffe Le Brasseur solicitors, Leeds.
