Roman Lavrynovych, a Ukranian national, and Stanislav Carpiuc, a Ukranian-born Romanian national, were convicted at the Central Criminal Court on Monday 15 June of conspiracy to commit arson. The conspiracy related to three arson attacks against a car and two residential addresses linked to the Prime Minister. The prosecution case was that Lavrynovych set all three fires, with Carpiuc supporting and encouraging him, including with the receipt of payment in cryptocurrency.
Sarah Przybylska appeared on behalf of the prosecution, instructed by the Crown Prosecution Service’s Counter Terrorism Division.
