Youth Acquitted of Conspiracy to Cause GBH in Murder Trial

Quinn Hawkins, leading Rebecca Malczewski, represented AB, a 17-year-old accused of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm.

The case concerned the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old boy at Seaford railway station. The Prosecution alleged that the three defendants, all youths, planned and premeditated the stabbing over several months because of a £20 cannabis debt.

Following a five-week trial before Bourne J, the first defendant was convicted of murder. AB was unanimously acquitted of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm.
