Peter’s current instructions in this area include:

  • Representing the Motor Sports Association in the forthcoming Fatal Accident Inquiry relating to deaths of members of the public at Jim Clark Rally and Snowman Rally.
  • Representing Total Uk in the forthcoming Fatal Accident Inquiry relating to the Sumburgh Super Puma helicopter crash resulting in three fatalities.

Recent Cases

George Square “Bin Lorry” Fatal Accident Inquiry

Represented Glasgow City Council in FAI relating to deaths of members of the public who died when a refuse lorry mounted the pavement in city centre.

Superpuma Helicopter Fatal Accident Inquiry

Represented BP in FAI relating to deaths of offshore workers who died as result of catastrophic failure of Superpuma helicopter in course of transferring offshore personnel.

Stockline Public Inquiry

Represented JGas (Johnston Oils Ltd) in the Stockline Public Inquiry relating to the plastics factory tragedy involving the uncontrolled release of LPG and subsequent explosion and destruction of the premises in central Glasgow resulting in the deaths of 9 individuals.

Brent Bravo Fatal Accident Inquiry

Represented Wood Group plc in the Inquiry in relation to the fatal accidents in the offshore industry on  the Brent Bravo installation.
