Richard Edmond joined 2 Hare Court as a Pupil in September 2024.
Richard’s legal experience includes work on defence teams in cases of white-collar fraud and bribery.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Richard worked for one year as a paralegal for solicitors defending an individual in proceedings brought by the Serious Fraud Office for alleged bribery in West Africa by a UK-listed mining company. He also assisted solicitors acting for a company director facing a private prosecution for an offence of fraud brought by a minority shareholder in a dissolved company.
Before beginning his legal career, Richard spent five years working in the public sector. From 2016 to 2019, Richard lived in Sierra Leone where he led projects funded by the UK government promoting higher education, human rights and the rule of law.
