Adithi Shenava joined 2 Hare Court as a third-six pupil in December 2025.
She is instructed in a broad range of matters in the Crown Court, Youth Court, and Magistrates’ Court. Adithi has completed training with ICCA to represent children, and has defended in cases involving vulnerable and young clients charged with serious criminal offences.
Before commencing pupillage, Adithi completed a traineeship with the defence team in The Prosecutor v Al Hassan at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. She contributed to preparations for sentencing and appeal, focusing on the issue of evidence obtained through torture. During pupillage, she was further instructed on this case, drafting filings for the reparations phase of the proceedings. She maintains a strong interest in cases with an international dimension and extradition matters.
Adithi previously worked as a legal caseworker at the trade union United Voices of the World, representing predominantly low-paid and precarious migrant workers before the Employment Tribunal. Before this, she worked as a legal assistant at the Arizona Capital Representation Project, assisting with post-conviction death penalty appeals.
She also brings valuable legal experience from the charitable sector, including as a Casework Volunteer for Southall Black Sisters and the Refugee Law Clinic, and as Senior Director of the School Exclusion Project.
