Eleanor Fox’s client was acquitted of s18 wounding with intent, s20 unlawful wounding, and acting in breach of a restraining order after a 4-day trial at Wood Green Crown Court.

The complainant was stabbed in the chest in the foyer of a block of flats in east London and suffered serious injuries. The incident was captured on CCTV. It was witnessed by an individual who knew the defendant, and who had taken out a restraining order against him. 

The defendant denied being present at the scene. The defence case was one of mistaken identity.

The jury unanimously acquitted Eleanor’s client in one hour.
