Michael Rawlinson acted for a former Custody Inspector at a Metropolitan Police Misconduct Hearing.
The allegations against four serving officers and two former officers were that they had improperly accessed sensitive and confidential information relating to Wayne Couzens, after his arrest in connection with the disappearance of Sarah Everard. It was alleged that they had done so without a proper policing purpose and out of “morbid curiosity“.
Following a 3-week hearing, the former Inspector was cleared of all allegations.
Michael was instructed by Sam Haldane at JMW Solicitors, and assisted throughout by Simon Hurley and Gavin Gaskain of the Police Federation.
