Members of Chambers at 2 Hare Court are greatly saddened to learn of the death of former Metropolitan Police detective Carlo Narboni after a short illness.

Carlo was an officer in the Clubs and Vice Unit at Charing Cross police station which pioneered the investigation and prosecution of those involved in controlling prostitution and trafficking women.

He was involved in many successful multi-handed prosecutions of organised criminal groups which exploited women, rescuing them and returning them safely to their families in this country and overseas.  Those of us who were instructed as counsel in those cases are proud to have been involved in them.

Following the conclusion of his service Carlo joined a leading private investigation service within which he again excelled.

His untimely death has shocked us all.

Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family and many friends.
