Gudrun Young KC acts for client acquitted in historic sex case
At a trial in February last year at Guildford Crown Court, Mr H was convicted of two counts of possession of indecent images but the jury were unable to reach verdicts in respect of several counts of sexual assault and assault by penetration on his stepdaughter between the ages of 11-13. Gudrun Young KC was instructed to represent him at the re-trial before HHJ Rufus Taylor. Following a trial lasting over 2 weeks, at which the convictions for indecent images were admitted in evidence, he was unanimously found not guilty of 7 counts, and also acquitted in respect of one other count following a majority direction. He will be sentenced for the images convictions at a later date.
Gudrun was instructed by Murray Hughman Solicitors.
