Gudrun represented a client who was in the UK for the Easter Break visiting friends in Weymouth. The group attended the Quayfest Festival before going on to two different bars. The defendant ended up walking back with the girlfriend of a friend of one of his group who he had not met before that night. He was alleged to have subjected her to a violent attack on the Westham Bridge and was accused of two counts of sexual assault and assault by beating. He denied that anything had happened and said the accusations were fabricated. He was acquitted of both counts following a trial lasting 8 days.
Gudrun was instructed by Kingsley Napley.
