Sallie Bennett-Jenkins QC acted for a 25 year old man who was accused by his former girlfriend of rape on 2 occasions, against, she claimed, a background of coercive and controlling abusive behaviour.
The couple met at a well know London School VIth form and were in a relationship for 4 years. The allegations followed the breakup of the relationship.
The defendant was a man of good character.
