Peter Lownds represented the family of James Casey, a 37 year old man, who died during an incident in which he was restrained by customers at a pub in Buckinghamshire in September 2019. At the end of the second day of an inquest held at Beaconsfield Coroners Court, the Coroner adjourned the inquest and invited Thames Valley Police to re-open their criminal investigation. The adjournment followed Peter’s cross-examination of the forensic pathologist and one of the men involved in restraining Mr Casey.
Peter is instructed by Phillip Hill of Shaw Graham Kersh solicitors.
