Pret A Manger were acquitted this afternoon of a Food Safety Act allegation following a trial at Bristol Crown Court with the jury accepting that the company should have the statutory defence of due diligence available to it.

Jonathan Laidlaw QC and Adam Payter (from 6 KBW College Hill) acted for Pret instructed by Richard Welfare of Hogan Lovells International LLP.
