Nneka Akudolu’s client found Not Guilty in multi-handed £3m conspiracy to supply heroin
Four defendants faced trial at Wood Green Crown Court for conspiracy to supply a class A drug. In August 2019, officers from the Specialist Crime Command executed a search warrant at the home of LS. Found at the foot of her bed was a kipsta holdall containing 30.5 kilograms of high purity heroin with an estimated street value of £3.5m. LS was later to admit to the police that she had taken possession of the bag and stored it in her bedroom for her partner who was one of the co defendants. She told the police that she was unaware of the bag’s contents even though it had been in her bedroom for 17 hours prior to their attendance.
The Crown’s case relied on extensive mobile phone and cell site material which sought to show her contact with her co conspirators before and after the drugs were delivered to her home address. LS was unanimously acquitted after a 5-week trial.
Nneka Akudolu was instructed by Matthew Bliss from JSP Solicitors.
