Leon Kazakos QC & Rebecca Erkan-Bax’s client acquitted of murder, attempted murder and wounding with intent

Leon Kazakos QC and Rebecca Erkan-Bax represented an employee of a high street building society who was charged with murder. Michael Hyde became caught up in an incident involving a number of people after his family home was attacked by two armed men in the days before Christmas 2019. One of the men who was involved in the attack sadly died as a result of injuries sustained during the incident. On the eve of the trial the prosecution concluded that it was not able disprove self defence in respect of the fatal injury and amended the indictment to allege attempted murder and wounding with intent.  After a seven week trial of three defendants Michael Hyde was acquitted of all charges by the jury.

Leon and Rebecca were instructed by Matthew Bliss at JSP Law.
