Peter Lownds and Grace Forbes are appearing in a trial at Southwark Crown Court in which they represent a businessman accused of fraud and money laundering valued at over £1 million. The case concerns the selling of a US based investment product involving the lending of money to pay-day loan companies.
Their client, who denies the charges, will stand trial with six others also accused of involvement.
The trial is set to last 10 weeks.
