Alison Levitt QC appears on BBC Radio 4’s Law in Action to Discuss Private Prosecutions in the Wake of the Accusations Made Against Boris Johnson MP of the Crime of Misconduct in Public Office

Boris Johnson MP was accused of misconduct in public office arising from his claim that EU membership was costing the UK £350 million a week.  Anti-Brexit campaigner Marcus Ball launched a private prosecution and obtained a summons for Mr Johnson to attend court. The District Judge’s  decision to issue the summons was overturned by the High Court last Friday.
