Boris Johnson MP was accused of misconduct in public office arising from his claim that EU membership was costing the UK £350 million a week. Anti-Brexit campaigner Marcus Ball launched a private prosecution and obtained a summons for Mr Johnson to attend court. The District Judge’s decision to issue the summons was overturned by the High Court last Friday.
