Oliver Glasgow QC and Sarah Przybylska prosecuted members of an Ipswich gang following the stabbing of a rival gang member. The men were driven to their opponents’ territory to seek revenge after they were taunted by the other gang earlier that day. The victim was stabbed repeatedly in broad daylight on a residential street in what the judge, HHJ Martyn Levett, described as a “pitiless attack”.
After a trial lasting over three months at Ipswich Crown Court, the jury convicted four men of murder and a fifth of manslaughter.
The defendants were sentenced on Tuesday 30 April. Those convicted of murder received life sentences and the man convicted of manslaughter received a sentence of 14 years’ imprisonment.
Oliver and Sarah were instructed by Samantha Woolley at the CPS East of England Complex Crime Unit.
