The Senior Coroner for Avon has commenced an inquest into the suicide of a Bristol University student, Natasha Abrahart who took her own life in May 2018. Bristol University has seen 12 university students have or are suspected of having taken their own lives in the past three years.
The inquest is scheduled to last for 2 weeks and will examine the events leading to Natasha’s death, including her contact with University staff, Student Health Services and staff from the Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.
