Jamie Acourt was sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment for conspiracy to supply cannabis this morning at Kingston Crown Court. He had pleaded not guilty but changed his plea on day 2 of the trial.

Sarah Przybylska was instructed to prosecute this 30-month conspiracy  on behalf of the CPS London Complex Casework Unit.

Acourt’s brother, Neil Stuart, and five others, pleaded guilty to the conspiracy in 2016. Acourt fled to Spain to avoid arrest but was extradited earlier this year. Acourt and Stuart were previously arrested on suspicion of the murder of Stephen Lawrence; both have always denied involvement.
