Successful Submission of no Case to Answer in Murder for Sallie Bennett-Jenkins QC

Judge directs Not Guilty verdict in Wormwood Scrubs murder for Sallie Bennett-Jenkin QC ‘s client, AK.

AK was one of 3 individuals charged with the murder of a 25 year old fellow inmate at Wormwood Scrubs prison. The inmate died as the result of 3 stab wounds from a makeshift knife on 31st January of this year.

Oliver Glasgow QC, prosecuting the case, told jurors it appeared the deseased had entered one of the defendants cells in the hope of trying to resolve a conflict; the attack appeared to have been sparked by a “minor altercation” in the segregation unit the day before.

Sallie’s submission of no case to answer for AK was successful, however the trial is ongoing for the other defendants.

Sallie led Sheryl Nwosu and was instructed by Nawal Asskoumi of Stuart Miller and Co
