Naeem Mian QC has successfully represented his client who was charged with Terrorism offences after it was alleged he had been planning an attack in the UK.
Following a trial lasting some five weeks at Kingston Crown Court, a jury found Naeem’s client not guilty of planning a bombing campaign on the UK mainland. The evidence against his client included extensive communications with a number of individuals based overseas, various documents on bomb making and messages from his client to others suggesting that he wanted to die as a martyr.
It was necessary for Naeem to carry out extensive cross-examination of Prosecution witnesses and an examination of complex theological concepts. His client gave evidence and was cross-examined for some 5 days.
Naeem was instructed on this case by Mike Reilly of Wainwright Cummings Solicitors.
