2 Hare Court Welcomes New Tenants Gavin Irwin and Howard Watkinson

Chambers are delighted to announce that Gavin Irwin (previously of Drystone Chambers) and Howard Watkinson (previously of Foundry Chambers) have accepted invitations to join 2 Hare Court.

Gavin Irwin is a specialist advocate in serious and financial crime. He regularly advises and appears in matters concerning fraud, money laundering and corruption. Gavin is instructed to advise professionals and businesses on regulatory and risk-management issues, including: sanctions and export licensing; environmental regulation; anti-corruption and anti-money laundering systems; consumer protection; and, professional conduct and discipline.

Howard Watkinson is recognised as an experienced leading junior in the areas of: civil and criminal fraud and other financial wrongdoing, VAT, excise and other customs duties, public law, health & safety, and regulatory work. Howard regularly appears in the Tax Tribunals, High Court, Court of Appeal and Crown Courts and regularly does so against Senior Counsel. Howard is one of the few counsel to act at the highest level in both the civil and criminal courts in relation to allegations of financial wrongdoing.
