Queensbury Legal 2017

On Friday 31st March, chambers, in conjunction with Murrays Partnership Solicitors and London Fights Promotions held a legal networking White Collar Boxing charity event at the Porchester Hall in Bayswater in aid of the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.

Chambers were overwhelmed with the support shown from within the industry which was reflected in the fact the capacity 400 tickets were sold out some 6 weeks in advance of the evening.

A huge thanks to all involved, namely our MC for the evening Robert (Judge) Rinder, for donating his time to such a worthy cause. We know Rob works with a number of charities and his time and contribution is really appreciated by all involved.

Special thanks to all competitors as well from Byrne & Partners, Birds Solicitors, Hughman’s Solicitors, Macaulay Smith Solicitors, 15 New Bridge street, Littleton Chambers, 23 Essex Street Chambers, 5 Paper Buildings, Atkinson Bevan Chambers and 2 Kings Bench Walk. The fighters gave up 3 months of their own time to train twice a week putting in a monumental 360 hours’ worth of training between themselves to make the night possible.

Lastly, a huge thanks to Jon Durrant and his team at Cobra Gym for their outstanding work in training those involved and for supplying the foundations of the event itself. It simply wouldn’t have been possible without you.

The Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity took home an amazing £6,390.30, which is enough to fund transportation services for a family in receipt of the charities driving services for an entire year. Anyone wishing to make any further donations even post event should contact Nicola White of the Rainbow Trust for further information.

Should anyone require further information on this event or might be interested in taking part in any future event please contact Ben Heaviside of 2 Hare Court or Grant Ambridge of Murrays Partnership Solicitors who will be happy to discuss further.
