Sallie Bennett-Jenkins appeared at Wood Green Crown Court this week, representing a 79 year old client facing a mandatory minimum term of imprisonment, for offences concerning offensive weapons.

The defendant had been involved in a long-standing dispute between two rival families that had been going on for years, and he had been receiving a high level of harassment, including death threats from the rival family for quite some time. The defendant was approached in the street by a member of the rival family who had threatened to kill him, and in an act of self-defence took out a Stanley-knife.

Sallie was instructed by Gary Monks of Hodge Jones & Allen Solicitors.
