Brian O’Neill QC has successfully prosecuted Raymond Sykes for the murder of his 82 years’ old neighbour, Arthur Walters-Girout. Sykes, who has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 25 years, killed his neighbour by beating him to death with a hammer; at trial he claimed that the deceased had asked him to help him to commit suicide.

Brian was instructed by Punam Chopra of the CPS Homicide Unit and assisted at trial by William Emlyn Jones of 3 Raymond Buildings.
