Orlando Pownall QC and Gudrun Young defend in Adam Johnson trial

The trial of Adam Johnson, Sunderland and England winger, commences on Wednesday 10th February before His Honour Judge Rose at Bradford Crown Court.

The midfielder from Castle Eden, County Durham, is charged with 3 counts of sexual activity with a girl aged 15 at the time of the alleged offences, said to have taken place in January of last year. He is also charged with one count of sexual grooming.

The trial is expected to last for two weeks.
