Brendan Kelly QC secures acquittal for a solicitor charged with Perverting the Course of Justice

Solicitor was cleared of an offence of perverting the course of Justice during the course of a Criminal trial. The allegation, it is thought unique in its kind, arose when a number of jurors alleged that the solicitor had been prompting and guiding his lay client when he was giving evidence before them. The Solicitor had been sitting behind counsel when the series of gestures were said to have occurred.

Brendan Kelly QC was instructed by Damian Wall of Burton Copeland Solicitors based in Manchester.
