A criminal practitioner who defends and prosecutes in cases of all levels of complexity and seriousness, and is currently on the list of monitorees for Treasury Counsel.

She has been instructed alone, as a led junior, and as a leading junior in most London courts but most frequently at the Central Criminal Court. She received particular recognition following her involvement in the high profile trial of R v Mulcahy.

She has extensive experience in serious crime, including murder, drugs, and sexual offences, and has more recently has been instructed in serious and high profile Terrorism cases. She has significant experience in dealing with disclosure issues.

She regularly carries out advisory work, having advised and appeared in a CCRC case in the Court of Appeal as junior counsel; advised in respect of the Independent Police Complaints Commission’s investigation into violence used by police officers during the demonstration against the “Hunting with Dogs Bill” in September 2005; and more recently in the first prosecution of demonstrators under the Protection from Harassment Act.

She undertakes regulatory work and is frequently instructed by the General Medical Council.
