Christopher joined Chambers following the successful completion of his pupillage. He has a predominantly defence based practice which deals with those charged with a wide range of offences. His recent instructions include cases of threats to kill, robbery, GBH, possession with intent to supply and fraud and dishonesty offences. Christopher has particular experience in dealing with challenging defendants, such as those with mental illnesses and those charged with offences whilst serving indeterminate sentences for public protection.
Christopher has previously worked for a leading firm of criminal defence solicitors, gaining experience in the preparation and management of cases covering all aspects of criminal defence work, including Criminal Cases Review Commission appeals, Crown Court trials and police station advice. He has completed a secondment to the CPS contributing to pre-charge advice, case preparation and Court of Appeal procedures. He is also instructed to prosecute on behalf of the CPS and Department of Work and Pensions.
