A leading junior of great intellect and experience.

After many years defending and prosecuting at all levels of criminal advocacy, he now practises almost exclusively in the field of professional regulation, applying his experience in particular to the prosecution of medical disciplinary proceedings for the GMC.

He not only prosecutes substantive Fitness to Practise hearings lasting up to several weeks but also appears frequently in the High Court, especially where questions of law need to be addressed. He is well equipped for such work by his previous experience of appellate advocacy, up to the highest levels (Privy Council/ House of Lords) and his history of practise in extradition.

He was appointed a Grade 4 CPS advocate in 2007. He has a particular ability to cut through complex issues of fact or law in order to get to the heart of the matter and a high reputation for integrity and fairness.
