International Practice

The work of Chambers extends beyond the Courts of England and Wales and domestic tribunals. We offer a full range of advisory and advocacy services in European and other national jurisdictions throughout the world.

Our expertise is available both to “in house” legal advisers and other professionals by direct professional access as well as United Kingdom solicitors. Instructions are welcomed from foreign lawyers in relation to cases in this jurisdiction and abroad.

Members of Chambers have acted in human rights cases involving the European Convention on Human Rights and other treaties governing aspects of crimes against humanity. We have advised in the United Nations International Criminal Tribunals for the Former Yugoslavia and Rwanda and are currently involved in the defence of trials before the Special Courts of East Timor and the I.C.T.Y. at The Hague.

We have also advised in foreign jurisdictions and chaired meetings between multi-national companies and non-governmental organisations in various jurisdictions. We are regularly appointed as Examiners for the purpose of taking evidence for use in foreign proceedings.
