Criminal Defence

R v J

The defendant was charged with murder and although convicted after an initial trial his conviction was quashed in the Court of Appeal. With a retrial ordered there were two further trials before he was acquitted.

R v C

The defendant was accused of participation in an international cocaine smuggling conspiracy, stretching from the United Kingdom to the Dutch Antilles.

R v C

A prosecution brought under the Modern Slavery Act, the defendant was accused of keeping slaves and requiring those slaves to perform compulsory labour for low or no pay.

The largest slavery prosecution brought to date.

R v N

The defendant was charged with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and unlawful use of firearm following a shooting on the streets of Brighton.

Operation Suzuko

Defending the first defendant in a prosecution brought for human trafficking and conspiracy to rape.
