Andrew is instructed on behalf of Doctors at Inquests (recently including a whistle-blower in a paediatric death). He has also represents Trusts and Hospitals. Issues that have arisen include variously the appropriateness of psychiatric assessments, management within the psychiatric setting, Primary care management and emergency medicine.
The Treasury Solicitor instructed Andrew as part of the team representing the majority of soldiers at the Saville Inquiry into Bloody Sunday. He was also instructed as junior counsel on behalf of the Treasury Solicitor in the Home Office inquiry into Dr Williams, the pathologist in the Sally Clarke baby deaths case. Both of these roles involved extensive research ahead of the hearings, and significant input into final submissions to the respective Inquiries.
