Julia Faure Walker and Sarah Przybylska appointed Treasury Counsel Monitorees

Many congratulations to Julia Faure Walker and Sarah Przybylska who have been appointed as Treasury Counsel Monitorees.

During a two-year monitoring period, their practice will include Junior Treasury Counsel work, and at the end of that period the Treasury Counsel Committee will make its recommendation as to whether they should be appointed.

Treasury Counsel prosecute the most serious criminal cases in the country. The title Treasury Counsel derives from the days when all Crown counsel at the Central Criminal Court were instructed by the Treasury Solicitor. That procedure was changed in 1908, and since then the Director of Public Prosecutions has instructed the permanent counsel there.
