Quinn Hawkins instructed in ‘Serial Killer’ Providenciales Murder

Quinn Hawkins was recently instructed as lead counsel by the Turks and Caicos Islands Director of Public Prosecutions in the case of Regina v Christopher Forbes. The defendant, who the Crown will allege is a serial killer, is charged with murdering two Dominican Girls on separate occasions on the Island of Providenciales, in the British overseas territory of Turks and Caicos Islands.

One of the victims, Sonrineida Moreno Arias, a 26-year-old Dominican woman was found dead in the bushes of Providenciales on July 13 2016. The second,  Yuneiry Veras, was also discovered in bushes around the same area of Providenciales earlier in the year on April 23 2016.
Forbes was arrested by detectives from the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF) at his home in Millennium Heights, on August 31 2016.
The trial is expected to start next month.
